What Is A Risograph?
A risograph printer is a digital duplicator, meaning it is a machine that takes an an image and makes many copies quickly, one color at a time. When sending a digital file to the printer, the machine burns your image into a thin mesh known as a "master". Ink is pushed through this mesh stencil over and over again similarly to screen-printing (Although in this case, a master cannot be created and stored for later like a silk screen can). This means that after a master is created the printer will continue to print your image independently of a computer connection. The image burned onto the master will continue to print until a new master is created.
